Abstract: Oxidation of cyclohexanol to cyclohexanone using hydrogen peroxide in presence of tetrabutylarnmoniwn salts of divalent transition metal mono-substituted dodecatungstophosphates, (BU4N)5PW11MO39.H2O, is found to give a high conversion with 100% selectivity. The catalytic activities are found to be in the order: Co » Mn > Fe > Cu.
