Title: Solubility of CaSO3 in aqueous sucrose solutions from 288 to 368 K

Abstract: Solubility of CaSO3 has been measured experimentally in aqueous sucrose solutions of different compositions in the temperature range 288 - 368 K. At a given temperature, solubility of CaSO3 decreases with increase in concentration of sucrose. Similarly, the solubility of CaSO3 at a given composition of sucrose - water solution decreases with increase in temperature. Both temperature and sucrose contents have negative effects on the solubility product, Ksp of CaSO3. The experimental data on solubility of CaS03 in an aqueous sucrose solution of any composition at any temperature are represented by a single polynomial equation within 0.012 mmol I-1.
