Abstract: The solution conformation of the peptide Boc-(D)-Asp₁-Ala₂-Gly₃-Lys₄-NHMe based on NMR studies is compared with its (D)-Glu₁ analog reported earlier. Results establish that (D)-Asp analog is devoid of the salt bridge and is a complex ensemble of consecutive folds.
