Abstract: | Toxicity levels of the effluent vary according to the nature of the medium in which they are mixed. The toxicity level of the effluent shows an increasing trend in freshwater when compared to that in brackish and sea water. Regarding the respiratory rates, the results indicate that the oxygen consumption of the fish gradually decreases with increase in effluent concentration in all the 3 media. |
