Title: Speciation and behavior of Cd, Pb and Cu in Zuari estuary, west coast of India
Authors: George, M D
Issue Date: Sep-1993
Publisher: NISCAIR-CSIR, India
Abstract: Dissolved labile and nonlabile forms of Cd, Pb and Cu in Zuari estuary measured for a period of 14 months showed lowest concentrations during the SW monsoon (June-Sept.) while maximum concentrations were observed during the premonsoon season (Feb.-May). Results of experiments conducted to evaluate the importance of desorption/dissolution revealed that the metal input due to desorption and dissolution of the particulate phase may not be very significant in the estuary.
