Abstract: A large increase in f0F2 was observed at Delhi (going up to 21.9 MHz) following the Chinese nuclear explosion on 14 October 1970. True height analysis of ionograms at 5-min intervals reveals wavelike disturbances continuing for a few hours. The delay in the onset of the disturbance was too small to attribute them to internal atmosepheric gravity wave type of propagation.
