Abstract: The influence of geomagnetic activity on the blanketing sporadic-E has been investigated at low and middle latitudes. The results indicate a positive effect during daytime, and at night, a negative one at low latitudes. The magnetic influence is greater at the equator and less at high latitudes, attaining a maximum value around the geomagnetic latitude of 28°.
