Abstract: Distribution of P. aeruginosa in water, sediment and finfish collected from fish landing site of Pondicherry coast was studied during April 1989 to March 1990. P. aeruginosa was in high numbers in water, sediment and finfish samples during the postmonsoon season (January-March), not detectable during premonsoon (August and September) and early monsoon season (October) in water and sediment. Among finfish samples, it was not detected during late monsoon (December). It was isolated from sundried and salt cured fishes also.
