Authors: Rao, A Madhusudhana

Abstract: Point discharge current (POC) and meteorological data like relative humidity (RH), temperature and wind speed arc collected in Guttengi island during the winter season, especially in Jan. 1974. The measurements show that fog produces an increase in PDC with a concurrent increase in RH and decrease in temperature, It is observed that an increase of PDC, 5 times it; average fair weather value indicates the occurrence of fog within 1 to 2 hr. The dissipation of fog occurred in hr after sunrise, corresponding to the recovery of PDC to its normal fair weather value.
