Title: Excitation of the Solid State & Gaseous Plasma Columns with the Help of Ring Source of Electric & Magnetic Currents

Abstract: The characteristics of radiation pattern of ring source of magnetic currents (placed in between the gaseous and solid state plasma columns) and the effects of interchanging these columns on radiation pattern are discussed. Also, theoretical study is made of the radiation pattern of ring source of electric currents (with solid state semiconductor plasma column on the outer and the gaseous plasma on the inner side). It is observed that for certain values of the parameters involved the radiation field amplitude attains maximum value in certain directions; while at certain other angles it gets reduced drastically and sometimes vanishes also. These parameters may be helpful for having the intense radiations in some preferred directions.
