Title: Phase Variations of GBR 16 kHz VLF Signals as Received at Nainital

Abstract: The phase variation of GBR 16kHz signals originating from Rugby, UK, were observed at the Nainital observatory. The observed diurnal phase variations of GBR 16 kHz signals have been found to have 98.5% correlation with those calculated from the mode theory of VLF propagation. The diurnal change in the height of reflection for GBR 16 kHz VLF transmission has been determined to be 13.2 km; assuming a daytime reflection height of 80 km.
