Abstract: Results of an analysis of data on integrated field strength of 27 kHz atmospherics are presented. Measurements are made at Delhi and recordings for 1967 are considered. The absorption of the lower D-region through which such atmospherics propagate has been evaluated. The diurnal and seasonal variation factors for forenoon and afternoon periods have been determined and compared with similar observations made elsewhere. Similarly. diurnal and seasonal variations of the recorded field strength have been evaluated and the characteristics observed are explained. A simple technique has been developed for locating the last control point for reflection from sunrise effect.
