Title: Post-sunrise Equatorial Spread-F & Radio Scintillations

Abstract: Experimental evidence is shown of the continuation and even intensification of the F-region irregularities after the sunrise on the basis of data from HF ionosonde, multifrequency radio scintillations and VHF backscatter radar at equatorial region. The data confirm that the F-region irregularities can coexist at the topside regions even during the presence of conducting E-region at low altitudes. These events seem to be associated with the early morning counter-electrojet events.
