|Abstract:||Results of simultaneous spaced fading and phase path measurements of F-region made at Waltair (dip., 20°) at a fixed frequency during nighttime show a definite relation between horizontal and vertical drifts of ionization. The north-south components of F-region horizontal drifts have been used to discriminate between the effects of winds and electric fields, which are said to be the dominant causes of vertical motions in the nocturnal F-region.|
