Title: Progress of Laboratory Aeronomy and Airglow Research in India during the Last Fifty Years: Part I-Low-energy Proton-induced Spectra of Atmospheric Gases
Authors: Ghosh, S N
Issue Date: Oct-1986
Publisher: NISCAIR-CSIR, India
Abstract: Laboratory aeronomy research deals with collisions of low energy protons and atmospheric gases. Such collisions lead to excitation of gases. The proton source and the spectrograph used are described. The characteristic features of spectra are analyzed in detail and explanations are offered for their excitations.
