Title: | Actual Problems with Ionospheric Mapping |
Authors: | Rawer, Karl |

Abstract: | While applying ionospheric data at radio wave propagation computations-be it for reflected HF waves or for penetrating VHF or UHF waves-the peak parameters of the Fregion are of primary importance. This was the reason why two decades ago the Co mite Consultatif International des Radiocommunications (CCIR) established a computer programme producing peak plasma frequency and (indirectly) height of the F2 peak. And after a long period of application of CCIR Rep. 340, the mapping problem is again a topic of discussion in URSI. |
