Title: Relationship of Ps6 substorm pulsation with auroral electroject current and solar wind parameters

Abstract: Auroral substorm Ps6 pulsation events recorded by the University of Alberta ground magnetometer array over 1977-78, are treated by the Hibert quadrature technique to obtain their wave characteristics (group and phase velocities, amplitude, frequency and wavenumber), which are then correlated with parameters of the interplanetary medium and the auroral electrojet. The resulting coefficients of correlation are given, and the observations are explained in terms of the generation mechanism for Ps6.
