|Title:||Mapping of F-region irregularities at high latitudes using NNSS satellite beacons|
|Abstract:||An experiment to study the ionospheric irregularities at high latitudes using transmissions from the multisatellite NNSS system was conducted by the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, with the receivers locate at Kiruna, Sweden. It was possible to map the scintillation activity over a latitude range of about 20° on a day-to-day basis during periods of magnetic storms. Results are described `for two magnetic storm events that occurred during April 1985 and August 1986. The features of the scintillation activity at high latitudes during disturbed days of summer and equinoctial months are found to be similar to those reported earlier for winter months but for one or two differences.|
