Title: Model study of electric field growth in thunderstorm

Abstract: The electric field growth inside Montana cumulonimbus cloud is tested using a parallel plate capacitor model. It is found that the results of laboratory charge transfer experiments of ice crystal-hailstone non-inductive mechanism can explain the observed electric field growth.
