Abstract: Mass size distribution of aerosol and its major ions have been determined at Agra using an 8-stage Andersen sampler. The mass size distribution of aerosols F, NO3, SO4, K, Ca and Mg was bimodal, while that of NH4, Cl and Na was unimodal. NH4, K, NO3 and SO4 dominated in fine fraction, while Na, Ca, Mg, F and Cl were in abundance in coarse fraction. Average contribution of fine and coarse mode aerosol was 48% and 52% respectively. Anion-cation balance showed that the aerosol was basic nature dominated by NH4, Ca and Mg.
