Abstract: Present study focuses on spatial and temporal evolutionary changes in coastal land use-land cover (LULC) in Kuwait. In the study here data acquired from LANDSAT sensor is used for LULC assessment and monitoring which involves quantitative characterization of the patterns of land use and land cover change (LULCC) for three epochs – 1972-1990; 1990-2007 and 2007-2012. The study integrates the techniques of remote sensing and geographical information system (GIS).
