Abstract: Various DDPs (Dissymmetric-1,3-diarylpropenones) have been used as efficient building blocks with AGH (aminoguanidine hydrochloride) as polynucleophile rendering NNCN group for the facile synthesis of 1,2,4-triazepines with novel substitution patterns. This one-step methodology employing molecular iodine as catalyst is regioselective, facile and highly efficient.
