Abstract: | Four Schiff bases (1-4) have been obtained by the reaction of dehydroabietylamine and 5-fluoro-2-hydroxybenzaldehyde, 5-chloro-2-hydroxybenzaldehyde, 5-bromo-2-hydroxybenzaldehyde and 2-hydroxy-5-nitrobenzaldehyde, respectively. They have been evaluated for their antiproliferative activities over A549, NCI-H460 and SW620. Among them, 4 exhibits the highest antiproliferative activity. IC50 values are only 8.27, 2.98 and 7.14 μM for NCI-H460, SW620 and A549 cell lines, respectively. |
