Abstract: | The optimum process stock to be held in spinning in various counts bas been worked out The total stock has been divided into three main parts: (a) mixing and blow room, (b) on-machine stock, and (c) off-machine stock. If proper balancing of production is ensured, the on-machine stock is automatically fixed. The off-machine stock will depend on the demand for back material, which, in general, follows a negative exponential distribution. The criterion for fixing the off-machine stock should be the peak demand, which is almost twice the normal demand. |
