Abstract: The Barbar Colman (BC) high speed spooler and the BC high speed warping machine have been compared with the Rotoconer winding machine and the Cimmco high speed warping machine respectively in respect of their effect on weaving performance by carrying out large scale mill trials. The BC spooler shows better weaving performance than the Rotoconer winding machine due to the higher clearing efficiency of BC snick plates. The type of warping machine does not influence the weaving performance.
