Abstract: Fibre fineness characteristics of Corriedale, Nali and Gaddi sheep wools and wools of Nali and Gaddi sheep crossbred with Corriedale have been studied. Statistical analysis establishes that Corriedale and Corriedale x Gaddi sheep wools may be pooled together with regard to fineness. Similarly, Gaddi and Corriedale x Nali sheep wools may be pooled together. Crossbreeding improve the fineness and reduces the percentage medullation.
