Abstract: The existence of inter-relationships between the parameters of yarn quality and weaving abrasion resistance (weavability) of grey and sized yarns has been established. These relationships imply that the quality parameters determine the ability of the yarn to form an integrated matrix with size material, and, therefore, the capacity of the yarn to withstand abrasion after sizing.
