Abstract: The structural changes in a commercial nylon-6 film heat-set for 1 hand 5 h in nitrogen atmosphere at different temperatures in the range 70- 200oC, while the film is free to relax, were investigated. There were considerable changes in the amount of crystallization in samples heat-set for 1 hand 5 h. Also, there was a change in the crystalline form of the sample. At relatively lower temperatures of heat-setting, hexagonal γ form was prominent whereas at higher temperatures of heat setting monoclinic a form was predominant.
