Abstract: | The effects of strand spacing, filament disposition, break draft and core material on the physical properties of nylon/cotton core-spun yarns produced under controlled pretension of monofilament are reported. It is recommended that for the production of yarns of 20s Ne, a break draft of 1.42 may be employed when the double rove feeding (siro) technique along with the filament disposition at the middle of the strand is adopted. |
