Abstract: An experimental set-up has been developed for measuring the filtration properties of fabrics, filter papers, etc. in terms of air permeability, filtration efficiency, pressure drop and cleaning efficiency. The performance of the set-up has been evaluated in terms of air permeability of nonwoven fabrics and a good correlation (r= 0.996) between the air permeability results obtained with this set-up and standard laboratory instrument has been observed. The set-up developed is very easy to operate and simple in construction.
