Abstract: The effects of first nozzle pressure, second nozzle pressure and spinning speed on the internal structure of MJS yarns have been studied. The yarn cross-section has been divided into five concentric zones of equal width and the fibre packing density of each zone as well as the total packing density have been studied. The radial packing densities of different MJS yarns show good resemblance. Radial packing density decreases gradually with the increase in distance from the yarn axis. Total packing density varies significantly with machine variables.
