dc.description.abstractDissolution behaviour of aluminium-iron alloy has been studied by weight loss and potentiostatic techniques at 30 ± O.5°C. The corrosion rate increases with acid concentration, immersion period and temperature. Effect of some metal ions (Cu2+, Zn2+, Cr3+, Mn2+, Na+, K+ and Mg2+) has also been studied in 1.00% orthophosphoric acid. All the metal ions except Cu2+ stifled the dissolution of aluminium and the inhibition efficiency increased on increasing the metal ion concentration.en_US
