Abstract: An advancing reaction front model has been developed with the help of a modified geometric configuration of the liquid membrane, system in case of facilitated transport. Sauter mean diameter is used as the characteristic diameter of the W/O emulsion drop in the model. Analytical solution of the model equations has been presented. While developing the physical model, effort has been made to highlight the effects of different parameters on the separation characteristics of Type-1 facilitated transport through the membrane.
