Abstract: The allylation reaction between aromatic aldehydes or ketones and allyl bromide are carried out in 83-100% yield with Zn-THF-NH4CI under ultrasound irradiation at r.t. for 10 min. The main advantages of the present procedure are shorter reaction time, higher yield of homoallylic alcohols.
