Abstract: The two-body and meson decays emitting a pseudoscalar and a tensor meson in the final state, using the factorization hypothesis have been investigated. We employ the Isgur, Scora, Grinstein and Wise quark model to evaluate the form-factors entering the decay amplitudes. Though many decay channels are available for and meson decays, the dominant ones are: → D D0, DD+, → π¯ D0 and → π¯D+ which have the branching ratios (%) of the order of 10-2. To the next order dominant decays are D0a, D0 a/D0f2, B¯ → ƞcK¯ and ƞc0, K¯D0/D¯D0 and B¯ → K¯D0 and K¯D+/D¯D+, which have branching ratios (%) of the order of 10-3. We hope that the calculated branching ratios are within the reach of current experiments.
