|Title:||River BOD prediction under non-point discharge conditions|
|Authors:||Bhargava, Devendra Swaroop|
|Abstract:||The BOD prediction in the river becomes quite a complex exercise when the wastewater from a town or catchment area flows into the river in the form of a continuous sheet discharge. Models have been evolved for an accurate prediction of the BOD in such non-point discharge situations. A case example has been studied to illustrate a comparison between the point and non-point conditions for BOD assimilation in streams. It has also been shown that the point discharge condition provides a lower stream BOD when compared to the non-point discharge condition under identical situations.|
