Abstract: Sorption, desorption and diffusion coefficients have been obtained for benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, p-xylene, chlorobenzene, bromobenzene, 1,2-dichlorobenzene and mesitylene into thermoplastic blend of ethylene-propylene random copolymer and isotactic polypropylene in the temperature range of 25-70°C. Diffusion coefficients have been correlated with liquid viscosity and follow the expected trend of decrease in diffusivity with increase in liquid viscosity. The concentration dependency of diffusion coefficients has also been studied.
