Abstract: An investigation has been carried out to find out the heat flow variation into the structure due to moisture content in the material for homogeneous and composite sections. A simple combined heat and mass transfer equation has been used which is further reduced to a heat flow equation with weighted thermophysical properties assuming uniform distribution in the material. Influence of moisture on various thermal response factors has been elaborated and compared with dry samples used in the building section.
