Abstract: Dielectric properties have been studied on ferroelectric mixed ceramics compassing bismuth compounds with layer structure (NaBi)0.5x Ca1-x Bi4Ti4 015 with x = 0,0.1,0.3,0.5,0.7 and 1. The properties have been measured as a function of frequency and temperature in the ranges 1 kHz-10 MHz between 35- 620°C. AC conductivity is calculated using dielectric constant and loss tangents. Distortion of the Octahedra of the perovskite layers along polarisation axis could be contributing to the spontaneous polarisation.
