dc.description.abstractA catalyst-free multi-component reaction of salicylaldehyde, malononitrile and secondary amine leads to the formation of benzopyranopyrimidines with intense fluorescence emission behavior is described. The method is simple, eco-friendly, economic, operable under mild conditions, having short reaction time, high yields and easy work-up procedure which suggests broad applicability of the protocol.en_US
