Abstract: | This paper presents improved methods for the prediction of cumulative distribution of scintillation variance, using radiosonde data. This method has the advantage of being usable all around the world and its accuracy is improved with respect to classical methods based only on ground measured data. The second part presents a two-layer depolarisation model separating rain and ice effects for better scalability. |
