|Title:||Classification research: A survey of recent developments|
|Abstract:||Surveys the work done and the trends in Classification Research during recent years. The role of the FID and some national bodies in the promotion and development of a general theory of classification is discussed. Successful design of a number of special schedules has highlighted the need for developing a general scheme of classification. Concepts like the Integrative Levels and the Inductive leap factors are some of the results of new thinking in this field.|
