Abstract: This paper finds out the broad traits of personality.viz. sex, age, education, occupation and income of readers and investigates their (traits) 'association' with the readers' preference for fiction and nonfiction books from a sample of 300 readers. The data have been processed and chi-square method hall been used to arrive at the results.
