Abstract: A comparative study is made of the serial selection polices of the libraries of the Drexel University, Philadelphia and the Iranian Documentation Centre (Irandoc), Tehran. Differences in the selection policy and the factors responsible for these differences are brought out. Some similarities in policy are also brought out. It is concluded that Influence of nationalism on serial selection polices the two institutions is quite evident.
