dc.description.abstractIn this part the reason for change of titles under two categories are discussed. They are: a) changes from subordinate to independent titles and vice versa, and b) simplification of titles. The patterns of changes under both the categories are brought out from 84 cases. A long title, it has been observed, can be simplified according to some well tried standard procedures.en_US
