Abstract: | Discusses a recent report published in the United States that suggests a new perspective for organizing information systems for problem-solving. The organizing principle has to be science, technical and societal information (STSI) for this purpose. Examines the relevance of this study to the situation obtaining in India. Concludes that a high power national commission should be set up to study all problems of information to develop a STSI for India. |
