Title: Frequently cited periodicals by Indian organic chemists: A citation analysis

Abstract: 17638 citations appended to Indian journal of Chemistry - Sec B-Vol.19 (1980) -23(1984) have been analyzed. Institutional affiliation of authors and age distribution of citations have been tabulated. The periodicals most frequently cited by the Indian organic chemists including medicinal chemists have been identified. Country-wise distribution of foreign papers published in the journal has been given.
