Abstract: Citations of 22 doctoral dissertations in chemistry submitted to Mangalore University since its inception were analyzed to study the information use pattern of researchers. The study has identified 60 core journals, out of total 418 journals, referred to by the researchers. The application of Bradford's Law of Scattering to the literature of chemistry reveals an exponential trend when plotted on the graph. The Bradford's multiplier is seen to observe a geometric series pattern over the literature.
