dc.description.abstractBarcodes are self contained messages with information encoded in a series of black bars of varying breadths and white spaces between every two of them. These codes have found varieties of applications in different fields, including library and information services. The features, advantages and use of barcode system in libraries with particular reference to its implementation in Space Applications Centre (SAC) library have been discussed.en_US
