Title: Ultrasound Study of Bone with Cystic Lesion

Abstract: Ultrasonic parameters of bone cyst, a non-neoplastic tumour, are determined in vitro. Average ultrasonic propagation velocity and attenuation are found to be in the range 1602 to 1669 ms-1 and 1846 to 2181 dBm-1, respectively. The causes and variation in such values of propagation velocity and attenuation arc the porosity and complex nature of the samples used. A direct technique for the diagnosis and differentiation of abnormal bone can be developed after proper standardization of the data.
